If I were to take a guess - and that's all it would be - as to why you're getting an error message, I'd say something is messed up with your Topaz install. LR should generate the TIFF with the edits applied and send that to Photo AI which will be updated with what you apply in Photo AI. One nice, neat round trip with minimal clicks. Topaz creates a TIFF (based on my selection in that box you see in the 2nd image), returns it to Capture One and closes itself (ie Topaz is no longer running even behind Capture One). When I'm done, I click Save to Capture One (bottom right corner in Topaz). When I click Edit Variants at the bottom of the second image, the image opens in Topaz. I've never seen it before you posed it above and I've used Topaz since before there was a PhotoAI.
